I don’t come to this position lightly, but after observing the behavior and trends of three generations of women who have been culturally free to make their own choices. In particular, the last two generations are able to make any choice they like with little or no cultural repercussions.
There are always individual exceptions, but the general — and obvious — trend is toward an extraordinary level of female irresponsibility. It’s an irresponsibility that is damaging to women generally and to the individual in particular.
Yet, after two generations, there is no evidence of women — as a group — coming to any level of realization that their actions have consequences of any kind.
Two to three generations is in excess of forty years. If in forty years, women as a group cannot come to the realization that their behavior is self-destructive, the only logical conclusion is that they’re incapable of coming to this understanding.
This is one of the primary differences between men and women. Men who make self-destructive choices typically learn from their mistakes. They are capable of understanding the cause-and-effect relationship between their actions and the consequences of their actions.
If after forty-plus years, women as a group have been unable to come to a similar understanding, the only possible conclusion is that they’re not capable of coming to such an understanding. Forty years is more than enough time to do so, if women as a group were capable of doing so.
You hit the nail on the head about how women’s behaviour is psychologically damaging to them. This is so true. Why? Because whether women admit this or not, women have a different reaction to sex than men.
Indeed, and it is the primary fallicy of feminism that men and women are identical, particularly as regards sex.

Indeed, but to me the interesting thing is this:
After forty years’ sleeping around, the fact remains that women are incapable of finding intimacy via sex — yet they’re still trying. No other women have stepped in culturally to stop them, and in fact, female culture encourages continuing to do it.
Conclusion: women in general are incapable of understanding that sex and intimacy aren’t the same. Or worse, they’re capable of understanding it intellectually, but not psychologically, so they keep doing it. And encourage others to do it, as well.
Ultimate conclusion: left to their own devices, women create chaos and pain for themselves and those around them, because they’re incapable of understanding fundamental truths. Consequently, they need a strong male influence to curb their self-destructive behavior.
I suppose it depends on your definition of what makes a woman a slut and what behaviour is labelled sluttish. For me a woman who does not seem to care who she has sex with and what damage she causes is a slut - whereas other people may call a woman a slut if she has sex before marriage.
If you want my sad but at this point unfortunate conclusion on the matter:
All women are sluts by any reasonable definition of the word. Because of their overwhelming biological drive to continue the species, they will have sex with anyone and with very little provocation.
In male-dominated societies, a woman’s natural tendancy to have sex with anyone is tempered by the male desire to ensure paternity. When this factor is removed (as has been the case for the last two or three generations), chaos ensues.
It is hard to know where to strike the balance as a woman. Of course a woman that does not sleep around is often questioned if she is a lesbian or viewed as a sexual defect. Women who sleep with different partners are frowned upon - so in the end I do sometimes just think women are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
But you’re talking about how women feel about other women, not how men feel about women.
Even today, I’ve never heard of a man who objected to a woman not sleeping with everyone in sight. I’ve never heard a man complain that a woman had standards regarding whom she chose to have sex with — standards that included some level of commitment, whether it be a long-term relationship, marriage, etc.
It’s only women who view each other as problematic if they can’t get laid by three different men in a week.
But I also think women should be using their new freedoms more wisely, and being more discriminate with who they choose to sleep with.
I predict that this will never happen. I think the facts speak for themselves: women are not capable of making these distinctions, or they’d've done so long ago.
And of course, women need to understand that how they dress communicates who they are: if they don’t want to be treated like sluts, they shouldn’t dress up like one.
Want some fun? Go see Superman Returns. It’s badly-directed and not well-written, but it’s kind of fun, anyway.
One of the more interesting choices is in female fashions. In order to evoke something of a timeless, 1940s feel to the movie, fashions are uniformly a bit retro. Women almost always wear skirts, and the skirts begin at the waist and go below the knee. Even Lex Luthor’s girlfriend — described by Lois Lane as “this hooker” in the film — wears clothes that by modern standards would have her standing out as a model of restraint.
It was, while not the best movie that could have been made given the money and talent thrown at it, extremely refreshing from a visual perspective. Not a bare midriff for the entire 2.5 hours. The women looked elegant rather than skanky.
If women wanted to really make a change in the way men see them, they’d collectively emulate the fashions of this film. What’s actually going to happen — mark my words — is that women will begin lobbying for total nudity in public.
